“We’re still talking about all the fantastic new talent we saw at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair—almost a dozen New England-based companies were first-time exhibitors. The work of one Rhode Island company, Studio Dunn, caught our eye with their simple and stylish wood furniture; the Barrington Chair is shown here. (We weren’t the only ones who took notice of the Pawtucket-based designers: they won an ICFF 2010 Editors Choice award for Best New Designer.) Rhode Island School of Design graduate Asher Dunn says his studio “uses classic materials to create progressive designs for products, furniture and environments;” all of the studio’s designs are manufactured locally.”
